Acquisitions w/c Mon 31 May - 7 Jun inclusive

Yups .. Shave secret is an oil shave .. im not a big one on the whole Oil shave thing.. but ive seen some folks raving about it and at $3 i figured what the hell.

The Blue box stuff is "Shea Moisture Shave - Shea butter and African Black soap Shave butter" - Picked it up with thier own brand Badger brush. Both were about $8 so we arnt talking amazing quality but both seem decent enough.

Not exactly shaving related but was in TK Maxx last week and thought I'd treat myself to one of these bad boys. 100% leather washbag. Always wanted a leather washbag and this one is properly lined and waterproofed etc. Also has a drop open compartment (open in the pic) which I think could be ideal for razors etc. All mine for £20.

Last of the big spenders here ;) was thinking about menthol last night, don't know why? anyway was looking at maybe getting some Proraso then noticed that Ingrams Cream had a menthol tinge and i remembered seeing it down town - so i bought some today for £1.60 in Superdrug (which was considerably cheaper than on line - and you don't say that often!)

If it's terrible, we'll just use it as toothpaste :D

Took a Men-U brush back to Boots, a gift from my nephew. They don't have much in the way of shaving bits, but with the 3 for 2 offer I ended walking off with: Boots soap in a bowl, 3 soap refils, Freshwood aftershave and a shavestick (need a storage tube for mine).

I too was thinking of procuring menthol for a cooling shave - picked up a tube of Prorasso at Basement Barbers in Leeds. They had the Prorasso pre-shave too, but I need to make a dent in my supplies to justify anything else really.

Sorry, it's called Basement Grooming. It's at 68 Wellington Street - next to Mia Modo Italian and opposite the long abandoned building site with blue hording around it (sporting some good looking Banksie-esq stensil art).

Used to be Dandy Brown's.

If you preffer soap they do Prorasso in a bowl at Greens of Leeds, on the Headrow opposite Primark - it's a tobacconist but sells not a bad shaving selection (DE and straight razors, brushes, creams, etc.).

Aha, thank you, that's a new one. I've used Greens before now, or rather my personal shopper has. I keep meaning to drop in to this tobacconist in Otley:

to have a look at the shaving range, but it's bad enough trying to drive through the place, let alone finding a parking space.

There's another newish place just off Park Square, next door to Sesame deli - can't remember the name but they only stock American Crew products, friendly staff though.

Wow, that´s a nice collection of cigars they have! :hungrig Prices where off though  , but that´s English prices for cigars. Even though you can find very nice matured ones quit easy, if in need for one

I have been wanting to try the EJ DE head and need a new soap brush so I have ordered this. Hopefully it will be waiting for me when I get home on leave next month.

Now, what to do first - Pub or try this out ? :D

Think I just picked up a black Gillettte Super Adjustable from the bay for a fair price along with some old soap sticks
and a brush.

Don't know what other goodies might be hiding there. Shocking picture but sometimes crap pictures and descriptions hide the best bargains!

I was trying to work out if the thing on the left in the white container was an old Erasmic stick - I can't quite make out the writing.

Lord knows what the thing on the right is - looks like an oversized tampon to me!

The stick with the grooves in? That's either the stick from the "Easy Stick" or a spare for it. The Easy Stick holder has teeth to grip the stick and they cut grooves down the side of the stick as you push the stick up.

Might make more sense after seeing the pic...

Thanks for that - So I guess I better hope that the stick on the right didn't come out of the Easy Stick box and that it contains one with a holder.
