Acquisitions - January 2022

My first shaving acquisitions of 2022 were gifted by my son yesterday, Saturday 1st. Firstly a 3D printed case to house my SE Adjustable, and secondly a V2 Raptor both designed by Roger Quintero.

Which, after a google, appears to be a sorta fashion house? Certainly something I'm otherwise entirely uninterested in. Kudos to Gillette, I bought this yesterday and it arrived today ... along with a bunch of stuff from other places that I ordered well before Christmas. Go figure.

The Yaqi Telstar. Looks well made the handle is a blatant timeless rip off but a good one, could have been a little smoother on the base and top edges but the head looks pretty good for the money. Yes there’s some machining marks on the inside but at this price hopefully it will be worth it.
Ridiculously however I’m still waiting for 3 soaps, 2 brushes and two splashes, which all bar one were ordered months ago and we’ll before this! In fact I’m in a dispute with then over ‘the Green’ splash as after they returned it to the warehouse for it to be sent with another order, then transferring it to their sister company Missraybeautyproducts, to be sent they are now saying it wasn’t sent again as they can’t ship aftershave! This is despite me currently having another splash bottle on its way and stuck it customs in the UK and another in Eastern Europe awaiting the container being moved!
Also been ‘told’ I need to move a razor out of the bathroom as I don’t need anymore! So my supply that I need to move on should be advertised tonight along with my Snmirn adjustable!

This was actually a December arrival, but only started chasing up today when I got a 'please rate products' email from Jonny @ Lothur.

Turns out Hermes 'delivered' it on Christmas Eve, aka threw it under the car near our garage, didn't leave a note. It's obviously my fault, despite definitely not leaving the house on the day and even though it took me 5 minutes of searching to find the soaking box. Thankfully, the soap and splash seem OK.
I'm not blaming Jonny at all, just Hermes being sh**e!

Can't wait to try them tomorrow.

Also, ball handled Tech arrived today, so I think I'm just missing a bakelite Tech as far as model types go. I also thought, 'nice box'. Just need to give the Tech a clean up tomorrow.

Delighted this arrived yesterday
A 1958 TV Special Plated in Rhodium.
Obviously it’s great getting a vintage razor in great condition that’s lasted 63 years but to get the case & instruction card in great condition is fairly unusual.
iv now got the Red, Blue & Black tips en route
What’s your thoughts @TobyC does the blade dispenser look original to this Razor ?
By the way it’s your fault iv bought this as you know lol

I’ve enjoyed shaving with the Wilkinson bonded razor and reckon it will make a great travel razor so I managed to pick up a few more NOS blades.

eh i’m unsure what you mean but i’ll try anything twice

But i have to tell you i’m old fashioned i prefer women

Doing my best to stay away from the software, may trip into EDP's but my only real wants are hardware:

- CG lvl 3
- Simpson Chubby 2 (silvertip or manchurian) Sapphire or Black Marble
- Wolfman WR2

Otherwise I'm going to do my best to hold off!!
