Brass doesn't rust. Shave with the cap on your face.

The rust would have come from a carbon steel blade being left in at some point of the razors life.
Any material can have rust marks left on it by proximity to a rusty steel blade.

A freebie from a friend who now only uses an 89 which oddly, I gifted to him. Possibly my favourite all time razor, an Ikon B1. I can't recall having an all silver one before, or did I? Maybe. An age and Forgetfulness thing. But hey, am I a big happy bunny.

It looks like it, but I am not sure if it's the contrast with a very slim head (which is one reason I like the design).

The description I came across is

"The denim gold aftershave has a fresh and explosive top note with notes of bergamot, lavender and green accents.

The heart of Denim Gold is decorated in modern Fougere style and impresses with its fine patchouli and water flower."

Opening the bottle and having a sniff, I'd say it smells a little like the Denim Original but Gold is a touch lighter.
