What blades are you using? (if he says feathers set at 6, I'm giving up!)

I've not yet got the Merkur yet ( actually trying to find a place in Essex )

My problem skin flares up now and then in to really sore red adult zits! At the mo its on my nose a little but for a while my face was a mess when I shaved. Have to have tablets to sort it out. It can then be fine for ages and flare up elsewhere. All started when I caught shingles.
