SOTD: Saturday 25 May - Friday 31 May 2024.

Take 3 with the 1912 set up...

Oumu gel tip badger
P&B Albion
GEM(2)
Witch Hazel/Nivea Balm mix
Nivea sensitive
Old spice balm (New and overkill but why not)

Progress is being made, still not as smooth as my DE shaves, but shallower angle, moved my grip up to the head a bit more and away it went. Two pass shave, not super smooth but was two days growth on my beard it tough to say the least...certainly serviceable so happy enough.

Stay well all

There now follows a party political, shave
7B8F7867-1863-4877-BC79-0ABDA52CA55A.jpeg
Prep - hot shower, lather face wash
Bowl - DSCosmetic green bowl
Cream - Proraso Blue
Brush - Anbbas Amber 24mm tuxedo synthetic
Razor - Muhle R89 Twist
Blade - Lord Classic (1)
Post - lather remains face wash, cold rinse
Splash - homemade (witch hazel and essential oils), Forest Fresh ASL
Balm - Nivea Replenishing PSB
Fragrance - Jeff&Co Carbon EDT

And a fine shave it was. More or less the same as the last couple I have posted, apart from the Lord blade which felt (unsurprisingly) similar to the Racer, a bit more scratchy maybe, but it was its first use. And my pretty new brush which I think will be a good addition to my, now complete, maybe, collection! Visage left feeling and smelling very smooth and fragrant (just like a politician) :)

There now follows…

I speak to you tonight on behalf of the Need A Collie (Really) Party of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Do you ever wake up, see the weather is bad and go back to sleep or turn on the TV when you know a brisk walk in the pouring rain would be so much better for your physical and mental health? You need a Collie.
Do you ever feel alone or neglected when you stand in the bathroom, showering or shaving? You need a Collie.
Do you ever think, near the end of a meal, “I wish someone would help me with these last few mouthfuls, as I’m really struggling”? You need a Collie.
Do you find that you can sit wherever you want in your home? You need a Collie.
Vote for us and we pledge that -
You will be persuaded to have at least an hour of healthy exercise every day.
Your household will never have any food waste, even plates can be cleaned (if required).
You will not be able to sit anywhere without being moved along or sat on after about ten minutes.
You will never have to shower, shave or pee alone ever again.
Please vote for us at the NAC(R) Party, we can deliver!
We thank you. Woof.

Sunday 26th May

Soap • Stirling Duke
Brush • Yaqi Bali 24mm Synthetic
Razor • Razorock Game Changer .68-P
Blade • NOS Polsilver - Lodz (1)
Post • Stirling Duke splash

Do you ever use a soap for the first time and think, 'this is my favourite soap scent'? Well, it may just be me?!
Usual solid Stirling performance, with a classy 'cologne' type scent. The matching splash is very nice too.
This set was a BST purchase - thanks again Jed, @Borygmi .
I use these NOS Lodz made Polsilver blades sparingly, as I believe they are no longer available?, and I only have a few packs left.
They're certainly very smooth. I uaually get around six shaves from each blade.

Enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend everyone.

The water here is really soft compared to where I live so getting a lather is really easy. Trouble is I find with soft water it seems to take an age to get dry afterwards. Probably just me though.
Have a great weekend fellas!

Nice to be shaving at my own sink. Straight Shave Sunday was a lovely bit of sink time. Started the unpacking and washing while Mrs TC catches up with some Zzz's.
Enjoy your day all.
