Hahaha yeah sorry for the curve ball! I will be sharpening it to arm hair popping level but I'm not sure it'll ever be shave ready! I'll order a few styptic pencils and give it a try if it passes the treetop test!

Had a simple shave today and also a bit of an off day..went with the dusy professional and decided to give it another go with a face lather not a great idea left me with a red neck and feeling a bit irritated ! Won’t be attempting a face lather with this soap again think it’s just too strong for my skin so will be bowl lathers from now on..that seems to make a difference perhaps because the soap isn’t being agitated on my skin but also it isn’t left on for as long either and isn’t as concentrated . As I understand this soap is made for barbers so maybe it’s intended to be bowl lathered and could explain why it’s causing this issue

Ribbon 1000 - First Razor I have honed on the new Nakayama and the result was a very nice sharp and smooth edge , sur eI have more to learn about the stone but very happy with that edge.

First run with the new Tanifuji Special , The combination f the razor and the Nakayama edge really worked , an outstanding shave.
