A few years back, I presented my little collection of Ever-Ready Deluxe cases from the 1950s. The oldest advertisement that I have found for these was from Christmas 1949 and so I base my assumption that those were released at the very end of the 1940s and sold into the 1950s.
Also into the 1950s, although many many many times sold as 1930s (which I believe is wrong) are these flip-open cases. I don't have a better name for them and have not found one in advertising literature [other than one which referred to them also as Deluxe sets].

Amongst this collection are a couple of interesting ones, first the Star with an etched *STAR* on the cap:
Second, a British GEM which you can see the British Made on the case as well:
My belief is that these were exported to Australia (and I've generally seen the British Made GEM from that market) and possibly Canada? Interesting to note that the font/typeface used on the GEM is the same as we see on the (somewhat mysterious) RADIO razor.
There's also the Australian 150th Anniversary celetration case:
