First outing with the Rex today. I visually noticed some of the drag that has been mentioned but it didn't affect the shave. It feels great in the hand. I'm very impressed by both the comfort and efficiency - I could have stepped back from the WTG pass with a more than socially acceptable finish. Two passes and touch-ups in the usual trouble areas has been enough to leave me smooth. I can often tell early on if I'll get on with a razor and I can see the Rex being a good friend of mine!

I haven't used the Eton in a couple of months. I had forgotten how great this cream smells. Usual excellent TOBS performance and this little EJ brush was made to work with these creams.

An excellent two pass shave this morning. The Cashmere made a rich lather with the Omega brush and the EJ razor matched really well with the med prep blade. A good start to the day.

The art is not in 'artisan soap' the art is in yet another of your wife's fantastic paintings. I love them

Smoky goodness today! More on that in a minute! Keeping with the Gillette Super Speed Trio, I went with the 1956 Blue Tip Super Speed today. Often maligned as an overly mild razor incapable of shaving a course beard by those on various forums. Well, I am not one of those folks. Loaded up with a good blade on par with a Kai, Feather or Nacet, the Blue Tip is a wonderful razor. For me anyway. Today a fresh Kai was loaded.

Now back to the smoky goodness. Stirling Gatlinburg! I don't know how it was created but man, do Love this scent. i have waxed enough on it's many merits as a soap but the scent is what it gets me and yes, I do jam my beak in this one a lot!

Through a wonderful three pass shave and BBS achieved. Now again could I get there in two passes with another razor? Sure but I will take a three pass BBS shave with the Blue Tip any day and especially with such a glorious scent to enjoy!

Happy Friday! Safe travels and on this (Canadian) Thanksgiving Weekend may you be surrounded by those you hold dear!

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney Stubby 3XL Ivory Finest (30/52)
Penhaligon's English Fern shaving soap (tallow)
Wolfman WR1-SB Antique Bronze/Darwin
Personna Super Stainless (2)
Penhaligon's English Fern aftershave (vintage)

Yikes. Three nicks yesterday and a couple more today. I had only a few of these blades and don't know where I got them, but they're thrown out now. It amazes me that a company that made some of the best blades ever, the P74s, could also make some that are terrible for me.
