First time to use these blades. A bit nervous because I ordered from a Moroccan seller on eBay and there's been a lot of talk about fakes, but if these are fake then they're the best in the world.
2 pass BBS (normally 3 required), no pickups and no weepers or irritation. A nice wee sting from the alum and Proraso though.

I'll reserve judgement until I've used the blades again, and in a different razor, but I may just have found a new favourite!

All good - a nice relaxing lavender shave - a scent for all seasons? Five day's growth coming off - the sternest test yet for the one - adapted - pass approach - no problem at all. Not far off bbs - but with significantly less time spent dragging surgically sharp steel across my skin. It likes it - and so do I - haven't needed a balm since I started doing this - granted - that may well change - as we move into winter. Have a good week all - enjoy your shaves - yours - I.

Back in the school chem lab in the '70's, there were loads of these bottles with acid in them...I'm not sure they're still allowed! But, if you're after some, that's the kind of thing to search for: keywords like apothecary bottle and vintage chemistry lab bottle. Good hunting(y)

After my last poor performance with the Maseto brush, I decided to give it a whirl with some MdC soap. What a contrast. This time plentiful lather all through the shave. Two passes to smoothness. Great start to a sunny day.

I don't really use my Valobra stick that much, but it really is a superb performer, really regretting not buying a few more when they were in production. Proraso cannot let the brand dissapear, they are far too good to be resigned to history.
A good combination of blade and razor, and my face felt great at the end of the shave.
