A lovely set up used this morning, the Stainless Karve always delivers, as does the "Fat".
The KAI blade has done 6 shaves and is just starting to go off, granted they are 2 pass shaves and i could probably keep it going, however, its just not worth risking a poor shave, so in the blade bank it goes.
The new synth brush is quickly growing on me, a really nice face latherer, the smaller knot working fine.
An old school post shave routine finishing off a nice bit of sink time.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

19 December, 2022

Prep: Hot towel
Razor: Weber ARC
Blade: Bolzano
Brush: Simpsons Chubby 2 Two Band
Soap: Los Jabones de Joserra: Blas de Lezo
Post: CeraVe moisturising lotion..
Fragrance: Signature Tabac by Zaharoff.

today is another by Los Jabones de Joserra, and yet again it scores an 11 on a ten scale. Those that are familiar with Los Jabones de Joserra know I speak the truth.

Dovo Shavette with Personna Medical Prep. blade
Stirling Sharp Dressed Man shaving soap
Unknown shaving brush (probably from a travel set. No markings)
Gillette Arctic Ice aftershave
Styptic pencil (arrived this morning)

My third shave with the shavette, and with all the above items bar the styptic pencil, since these were all tucked away in boxes until recently. In fact I'd completely forgotten I owned the shavette!
My technique with it is improving. I don't get many cuts or weepers but I do tend to get a 'hot' face. I have the blade as flat as can be against my face and will just continue with it; maybe my skin will get used to it.

I used to embed photos from Photobucket but am out of touch with it all now so have just uploaded this file the old-fashioned way (it's not a very good photo anyway). I presume I could do the image embedding with Google Photos so I will have a play around.

I try to avoid regular daily close shaves and alternate a mild razor/blade combo with my really close shavers including the shavettes. It find it gives my delicate skin a chance to recover before the next near to the bone shave

Thanks. Yes I shave every 2-3 days these days as my facial skin can't handle it otherwise. My mum always said I was soft in the head!

19 December

WR1 oc Darwin
RR Emperor soap (decanted to vintage Boots plastic dish)
Personna super blade 2nd use
Unknown, well used but soft old badger brush

The shave combo worked perfectly with no issues to report. 2 passes and minor pick ups. Emperor isn’t my favourite RR soap, needs quite a bit of water to lather and hasn’t much of a scent but it does the job adequately.
Have a good evening fellas
