Very nice razors! I've always wanted a Bengal and am just unable to find an affordable shave ready...I still failed at honing...Yesterday: 20 GBP worth of Bengall which I restored -- now easily one of my favourite. So good I bought another to restore as well!
And today, well we were discussing it so I picked the Edward Brice #38. It was 'so so' when I got it, but since I've put a lapping film edge on it, it's very very comfortable. The shape of the blade (nice smile) is just right for my face, I really like it now. Only 'down' is that it doesn't 'sing' a lot.

Eye-popping Edward Brice...well done!
Hey, thanks, but yeah...that's abit pricey... I will wait for a suitable one patiently..hahaha. Can you share that Ebay site? Just to see the razor...There is one currently on ebay, it looks like exactly this same razor as mine, and I think it is £90 or so. A bit expensive clearly, but it seems to be in 'as new' condition from memory... Clearly a bit on the expensive side for a 'vintage' but really, these models of Bengall (and the associated C.Myers & Son I have) are to me, better than many others I tried.
I have to say it is a bit of a lookerHey, thanks, but yeah...that's abit pricey... I will wait for a suitable one patiently..hahaha. Can you share that Ebay site? Just to see the razor...
Thanks, It is indeed a very nice-looking Bengal. I bought the leather & canvas strop from the vendor before...back in 2019.I have to say it is a bit of a looker
