Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend..

After a month of using the Parker 98r... For the rest of December i intend to use hardware & software that i have infrequently used over the last year....Starting with the Edwin Jagger DE 89...It's been a while since i last used the LPL Fougere soap which is a French 100% vegan soap to be honest this vegan soap is absolutely amazing, i only used a small amount but it produced enough lather for the full shave without going back to the sample tub to add more. The slickness is fantastic, as is the fragrance protection & the post shave feel.

The razor & blade duo was absolutely fantastic....Super smooth and efficient...I wasn't sure if the Derby Usta would pair together with DE 89, How wrong i was. They paired together excellently...Wow!

A very enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report....Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd London 2000 EdT to the pulse points.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine. ;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Sat 4th SOTD with a few new gears
Soap Yaqi Lemon Lime & Cedarwood New 1st Use
Brush Yaqi 22mm Boar New 1st Use Another Free Lucky Draw
Razor Clone AC Kamisori New 1st Use (wondering if this qualifies as an SR)?
Blade Feather ProGuard 2nd Use
Aftershaves Stirling Witchhazel Lemon Chill + Yaqi Lemon Lime & Cedarwood Splash New 1st Use
The soap scent is nice but abit too mild. The lather qualities are really good, creamy, and slick...great!
1st use of this clone Kamisori and paired with the blade...wow! Very easy to use...silky smooth, very comfortable, and very efficient. Almost auto-pilot mode. The atg pass on the neck and jawline was incredibly easy and efficient! 3passes for a bbs finish...awesome indeed! The matching AS splash has good post-shave but the scent is abit mild. This will be a great travel SR razor...!!!

Well I'm super impressed.
First run out of the Ever-Ready 1912, the Gem blades arrived from Connaught's, accompanied by the Fine American blend and here they are.
The lather was great and my growth was ably cut down in 2 plus pick- ups.
The only bit I found a little awkward was under my nose as the razor has got more head than Hugh Grant on an LA backstreet.
[Ever] Ready for the day ahead.

Razor: Rockwell 6s
Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless , 2nd use
Brush: Knothead Brush Works 26mm AP Shave Co. Synbad
Bowl: 3D Printed Bowl
Preshave: PAA Cube Unscented Soap
Soap: Proraso Wood And Spice Cream
Aftershave: Proraso Wood And Spice Cologne
Balm: Proraso Crema Liquida Dopobarba Balm
Additional Care: Osma Laboratoires Alum Block

Simply my best shave of the week! It’s clear to me why the 6’s is held in such high regard, BBS, 3 pass shave without any issues. Such a shame this Proraso cream doesn’t get the same love as I think it’s up there with the best, the scent is heavy hitting and the aftershave only needs a single spray to last all day. Its one of the slickest smoothest creams I’ve tried. It’s a delightful new classic scent for me.
Enjoy the weekend guys!

SOTD 4th Dec
Soap - Wickhams Parma Violet
Brush - Omega S Brush 24mm
Razor - Supply V2 2 dot Comfort plate
Blade - Supply Injector blade #1
Post - TDS Kosmetika Sensitive Silk balm

Not the smoothest shave with this razor but I'm putting that down to the initial use of this blade from Supply. I'm led to believe that they are Personna/Ted Pella blades.
I bought the AS lotion from TDS Kosmetika - turns out it's balm, so the Musgo Real was redundant for this shave. I highly rate everything I've used from TDS Kosmetika and this balm is the same.
3 passes resulted in a pretty close finish.
Take care all and enjoy the weekend.

Brush: C&H 'Strata Taper'
Soap: MdC Fougere
Razor: Blackland Dart
Blade: GSB (2)
Post: Cold Water and D.R Harris Arlington

Well that was as rough as a bears arse, nowhere near enough prep to allow me to use the dart without tearing up my face (note to self don't use the dart when in a rush). On the plus side the Arlington calmed it down nicely with a subtle menthol feel at the end.

Hope everyone has a grand day!

Cheers

Pre - Shower
Brush - Zenith 506 Copper 28mm
Soap - Arran soap Co. Machrie
Razor - Rex Ambassador #2.5
Blade - Wizamet Super Iridium (4)
Post - Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel
Balm - Arran soap Co. Machrie
A/S - Arran soap Co. Machrie
Rex - Arran (1)b.jpg
This morning i nudged the Rex up to 2.5 for the last shave with the WSI blade, again just a 2 pass shave today, WTG and a sort of ATG - XTG mixed pass. I am amazed at how well the blade feels today, so smooth and it has given me a wonderfully comfortable shave, so much so it is not getting binned, it will be put in another razor for another run out.
I do like these Arran products and i really should use them more, a great set of scents and a very nice lather, what's not to like? I keep changing my favourite from one to another and it changes each time i use them.
It is always a joy to use the REX, a top quality, luxury bit of kit, although it has a rep for being aggressive, i don't get that at all, mild at the bottom settings and very very efficient at the top setting, i do believe that is what an adjustable is supposed to do. Today on #2.5 i would equate mine to about plate "C" on the Karve or Plate 3 on the 6S - YMMV of course.
I really did enjoy that!

Stay safe and enjoy your day All

Boti 23mm Boar -Culmak - Feather Portable/BIC Chrome Platinum #3 - Encre Noire EDT

The Boti Boar knots do seem to have a lot of backbone but I have enjoyed the two I have used so far.
3 passes for a perfect result :)

I am heading out to a function later. My first one since before the pandemic. A little nervous about it.....I think I would prefer to stay at home and watch Strictly! but SWMBO would not be pleased.

Bloody hell Marc, a rushed shave with the Dart, that had my toes curling.
I have to really on my game to use mine, i do enjoy the challenge of it but have to be very mindful.

Razor: 6s Plate 5
Blade: Wizamet
Brush: Dragonsbeard
Soap: Ethos Dragonsbeard V3
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Ethos Dragonsbeard SFS
Fragrance: Ethos Dragonsbeard EDP
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1123

So you may have seen a theme as you read down the list of what was used......................what, you didn't read it? I'll wait while you go check it out................Back now ? Good ! Yep, Dragonsbeard is my FAVORITE scent and we have a few of Frank's products in this scent as well as a bunch of other scents. I noticed that if Frank would come out with his own SS Razor, some blades and a Witch Hazel I would have all categories covered. Took the day off from boars because I MUST use the Dragonsbeard brush when I use this setup. I had a TREMENDOUS shave and smell even BETTER. I never do it but may need to groundhog day this setup tomorrow. Have a great weekend folks !!

Soap – Tabac
Brush – Vie Long synthetic
Razor – Blackland Blackbird
Blade – Gillette Silver Blue
A/S – Tabac
A/S Balm – Lea 3 in 1

My first shave with Tabac and why I’ve not tried this soap before now is beyond me. The scent might be divisive but performance is excellent.
Every aspect of this shave was as good as it gets for me.
The razor is my best purchase this year and easily goes into my top 3, paired with one of my top blades, a beautiful brush, superb soap and Tabac A/S to finish. Effortless and baby smooth. Happy ! Happy ! Happy !

Have a good weekend and enjoy your shaves.
