Best Synthetic Knot?

That Yaqi brush looks very interesting. I will have to see if it's available off of eBay, as do not have an AliExpress account. I'm sure I saw it on YouTube the other day.
It’s easy to register for an account and doesn’t cost a thing. You can use an Apple ID, Google a/c, etc. Very straightforward and I haven’t been flooded with spam emails. Soo cheap yet there’s quality to be had.

Yaqi/AP Shave fibres appear to be manufactured by Cormay, based in China...

Silvertip Fibre ( Muhle/EJ ) is manufactured by BASF, based in Germany...

Silversynth Fibre (Omega EVO) is manufactured by K R Filament Co. (Krex), based in Thailand...

Yes, but the German made synthetic knots are old technology circa 2014 and have been surpassed IMO by the Chinese knots. Yes, I owned both the German ones and they were cutting edge in their time..........................just as was a Sopwith Camel in 1918.

...all that matters is which fibre you prefer...myself, I still prefer STF fibres over Comway's fibres, that and the way the knot is constructed...

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements’ brushes look so funky and I love most of their designs - the Phantom Aerolite, Atomic Rocket and Starcraft most of all. I wish you could pick what knot you wanted what handle but even still, the brushes are super ‘50s atomic age/reds under the bed/Iron Giant cool.

Have fun choosing then choosing again and….
Copies of expired patent vintage.

Here's the Starcraft as was ... the Mohawk 5-341 (reknotted with PurTech):

Hi guys, I forgot about my thread here. I'm still trying to decide what brush to get. I've been looking at Shavemac brushes today. I've never owned a Shavemac and have always wanted one. Are they worth the money? and is there Synthetic fibres any good?

Thanks
Callum

I love their handles but not there Synthetic Knots , I have 3 of their handles but with AP Shave knots in.

I've got my eye on one of their brushes in Ocean Mist colour. But I don't want to get one to then have to find someone to remove the knot and put in a new knot for me.

I'm going to give the Shavemac brush a miss. Lovely handle, but after reading up on the synthetic knot, it doesn't sound good at all.

In all honesty, I'm looking for my last brush. Once I get this one, I will never buy another brush again, so I'm trying to make the correct choice. I have given myself up to £100 to spend. If someone could recommend one that could easily last me a lifetime, synthetic, 24mm and preferably a resin handle.

Thanks
Callum

@RussellR5555 is correct, While I liked my Shavemac Synthetic it was a little too scratchy for my taste

You really can't go wrong with Simpson Trafalgar, Callum

You'll thank me later, and still have cash in the bank

If it wasn’t for the smaller knot size you request, my recommendation would be very simple - Simpsons Chubby 2 Synthetic. Iconic, very classy, easy to hold handle and a fabulously soft, well-made knot. You could have a look at a Simpsons Duke 3 synthetic. Again, same applies as above but smaller handle and knot.
