I can see why many people love both Gillette techs and the Mogno. It didn't feel like my first time shaving with this eBay frankentech, lovely and smooth but surprisingly efficient.
I hadn't shaved in 4/5 days and it just slipped effortlessly along the slick mongo, leaving very little behind.
The handle is very thin, but has a nice heft to it...must be brass....so it's nice and nimble while being nicely weighted. I think she's a keeper! What a lovely shave!

IB stopped shipping to the UK on 1st Jan Mike due to Brexit. We're reliant on UK supplies now which is fine for razors but difficult to get plates.

I’ve got a Juniper Berry TDS soap here, used twice. It was given to me my @Boycie83. PM me your address and I’ll send it up if you want it.
I went full on Henri & Victoria for this shave. Their Cognac and Cuban Cigars range is superb. I've used their non-milled soap before but this was my first shave with their triple-milled version. It costs more but it exploded into delicious creamy lather, with superb slickness. Fantastic stuff!
If you've not sniffed the Cognac and Cuban Cigars, it's a refined, sweet tobacco scent, less obvious than Tabac. Given the amount of "stuff" I have, it's obvious I rate it highly. The balm is luxurious and the splash is so good, I use it when I've not even shaved.
I usually use a feather blade in the AS-D2 but I had an Israeli Crystal to hand, so used that with excellent results. 10/10 with this lot and now it's gin o'clock!

Another very smooth shave. The old soap has lost most of its scent, although its lather otherwise is still good; so I'm not sure how long I'll keep it, since the smell is an important part of the experience for me. The Paradigm came with an extra top cap with very slightly different threading on its post, which enables the use of a wider variety of handles. The aftershave is another one with a really nice slow burn.

• Floid Mentally Vigorous
First shave with the Windrose Slant - very smooth and mild feeling, especially for an open comb
First pass left very little behind, which was removed ATG with ease.
Zero irritation and no mishap encountered.
The head felt bulky compared to the Hawk V3, which I have used exclusively for around four weeks
Finished with Floid Mentolado
