P - if you will forgive me offering an unsolicited opinion - I received a Katana head recently - a kind gift from a fellow member - I have only used it twice - about to become three times - when I have finished typing this - but you kind of know from the off whether a razor is going to suit you or not - I've really taken to it. Due to the blade exposure - it looks kind of lethal - but it isn't - in my experience - at no point have I felt it was going to hurt me. It does the job though - very effective in use but mild on my skin. The right angle is easy to find - due to the amount of noise it makes. The head is very light - I stuck mine on a ss handle to balance it out - seems to work. The only negative - getting the blade aligned properly was a pain until I sussed how to do it - it will get easier with experience - I'm sure. So - if you are intrigued - have a go - for what they cost - it is worth a punt - as @Boycie83 said - you can get them for buttons. I notice that @culcreuch is a fan as well. Only one way to find out mate. ;) - I.

A shave of two halves. It's only the second outing of the SynBad knot and I continue to be impressed and very happy with the results.
I face lathered, which is something I've struggled with in the past. No problems this time around with the SynBad.

This is my 7th or 8th shave with the Wolfman. The shaves have been a mixed bag and tonight's wasn't great. I'm really struggling to get a close shave going ATG on my neck. I was left with some irritation in one area due to over shaving.
It's been around an hour since the shave and my neck is calming down now.

First shave in a week or so today and it wasn't great. Was as if I've lost my technique or something.

Razor- Rex Ambassador

Blade- Wizmamet Super Iridium

Soap- Proraso White

Post- Alum

First try of these blades on level 3 of the Rex and it was a massacre. Maybe rushed it to much as well, very busy man these days so won't use them again until I have the time to enjoy a shave.

Not a fan of this soap either. Scent wise I don't really like it. I had a great month of Signature September so have been used to great smelling soaps all month so this was a step down.

Alum earned its stripes today...stung like a stingy thing!
