Two Pass Shaving Routine...

Hot Water prep & massage with Coconut Oil
French PRIMA SE
Gem Stainless Modified Blade x 2
Semogue Boar Brush
Erasmic Shaving Cream (added Argan oil)
Organic Aloe Vera Gel
Logona Mann Aftershave Balm

I am using a cut down Gem stainless blade in the French Prima...This razor is very aggressive and take 100 % focus...I haven't used it enough to get familiar with it...This is the second time I have used it and it whacks down the whiskers with ease....I settled for a nice smooth DFS result....The PRIMA is a high class razor...This thing has a real high quality Nickel Plating and is quite a heavy weight...The handle turns and pushes at the bottom to release the top cap very much like a ball point pen.....These were not meant for the Ruffians & the Vagabonds that's for sure....Classy & Rare French Job at their Best....;)

Mastro Livi Grifetto 60, De Vergulde Hand and Floïd

Yet another good shave. I already mentioned how good Mastro Livi Grifetto 60 is - as well as regular Grifetto - but whenever I use Floïd it always adds an extra luxury touch to my shave. This time I used the Dutch De Vergulde Hand, a soap I like although it sometimes seems to dry the skin too much. A generous pass of alum block, then argan oil, and the skin is ready to receive the pleasing and refreshing touch of Floïd The Genuine aftershave. And I am ready to start a new day.

  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
  • Soap: De Vergulde Hand
  • Brush: Omega Bristle 10275
  • Bowl: Chinese Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi Grifetto 60, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point
  • Post-Shave: Alum Block
  • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
  • After Shave: Floïd The Genuine
Argan Oil is great stuff as you know...I actually add about a tea spoonful to my soap or cream...Always...o_O

Off to my wee brother's for more 'gairdnin' this morning and Mater just happened to mention that if I moved my hint end, she'd pay for breakfast at a Toby on the way. Being naturally responsive to bribery and corruption, I rushed the shower and the shave but still managed half decent results. 7 Sausages, 12 slices of bacon, 2 fried eggs, scrambled egg, pile of beans, tomatoes, bucket of mushrooms, tattie & onion hash and a doad o' the broon sauce plus two mugs of coffee. Hey man, I'm on a diet so had to cut down a bit, besides, I felt that was an elegant sufficiency as opposed to my usual elephant sufficiency.....;)

Fell asleep in the car despite the caffeine!

This was my first shave since getting Nico1970's pass around Black-Jack,I first off scraped a little bit of MLSW 'The Kraken' into a bowl, and worked it,and worked it,and then worked it some more...Buy the time my wrist gave up,I had managed to glean a small amount of lather,so,on the face it went. And then it was gone again!,so I decided that 'The Crapen' not only looks like a bar of 70's blue 'Shield' bath soap, smells like it,but also performs like it.
So with a good lathering of OS,off I went,first on 7,but that was leaving quite a bit behind,so up to 9 it went.Very nice!.2 pass,touch up BBS.
Damn fine razor that.

The MLSW worked well for me? Deffo YMMV and all that.

I also found it worked best on the high settings.
