I know we're a fanatical footballing nation but is it right that our goverment is prepared to bow to FIFA's demands in order to win the bid?
Breaking or ignoring laws that will allow FIFA:-
"full UK entry-visa clearance and a tax saving worth hundreds of millions of pounds".
"the unrestricted import and export of all foreign currencies to and from the UK, as well as the unrestricted exchange and conversion of these currencies into US dollars, euros or Swiss francs".
And of course knowingly deal with a blatantly corrupt organisation and use high profile personalities such as Cameron, Lord Coe. Prince William, and Beckham in the process.
Personally I think UK should have walked away from the whole process and insisted on a full investigation into FIFA's affairs.
I also think that like the Olympics, the World Cup, if we win the bid, will cost the UK taxpayer a fortune.
Makes me wonder what our government sees as its priorities going forward.
Cameron and Clegg??   inexperienced to**ers
