A number of you may have received this email already but for those who didn't but might be interested here's the content copied and pasted below.

With a maybe less than stellar first entry into the wet-shaving world with issues ranging from product QA control to customer service levels - Rockwell is now launching what claims to be an improvement over their initial razor.

Prices:
Razor: $79.99
5-pack of the new Rockwell DE razor blades...: $0.99
Stand: $24.99
Blade safe: $1.99
Sheath: $4.99

In true Rockwellian fashion there are no, as far I could tell, call-outs what is changed/improved in this design as compared to the old (which is odd as it is clearly labeled "New" and this is a pre-order w/ no firm commitment on shipping date:
"We'll be shipping pre-orders as soon as possible, after careful quality control of every piece we ship to you. Because of the increased strain on postal services during the holiday season, we cannot guarantee your shipment will reach you by Christmas."

In addition to the new Rockwell 6S, we've released a bunch of additional products we think you'll love. You guys have already heard about our Rockwell Stainless Steel Stand, and the Rockwell Sheath - and this month, we have something new that we're proud to announce. From the start, our goal has been to make innovative classic shaving products at an incredible price, and to us, an important part of the fulfilling this goal in classic shaving was to offer our own double-edge blades. Today, we're excited to announce that Rockwell Double-Edge Razor Blades are now available!

Rockwell Double-Edge Razor Blades are made of Swedish Stainless Steel, and are compatible with all double-edge safety razors. The pure stainless steel that forms these blades protects them against rust, while the specialized treatment that crafts these blades ensures the blades retain their exceptional sharpness. Each blade is individually double-wrapped, free of wax dots, to ensure the sharpness of each blade without leaving any wax residue on the blades. Our goal was to offer the best safety razor blade on the market, at an amazing price. The attention to detail and manufacturing innovations that have gone into crafting the Rockwell Double-Edge Razor Blade have produced a blade that we feel meets both these criteria.

The Rockwell Blade Safe is a safe, convenient way to dispose of used double-edge razor blades. The Rockwell Blade Safe fits all double-edge razor blades and is completely recyclable - once it's full, simply throw it in the recycling!

The Rockwell Stainless Steel Stand is also now available - and is the perfect companion to your Rockwell 6S! Finally, don't forget a Rockwell Sheath (in black or grey) to protect your razor when it's not in use!

I'm on the case for my replacement heads! The new ones look like they might actually work!
Same here. Mind you, given the angst over this, I've decided against paying $19.99 extra for shipping and have gone for the "free" option, which, if past experience is to go by, means it'll probably be dropped off in the UK, some time next year, from a ship circumnavigating the globe "widdershins" via Panama, Pacific etc.
I'm also saving that moolah just in case some SOB from Customs or Royal Mail canes me for fees and duties.

I'm liking that and the price isn't bad really. I haven't bought a new razor for a while now but this has got my interest... I quite want to test their claims for the blade too. What to do, what to do....

I would suggest holding off until the first few reviews come back.
It could well be fine but their first effort never got anywhere near my face.

I'm annoyed by this.

I don't want to pay for postage but I ordered 2 last time and only 1 turned up.

I have one on pre-order along with the stand. These new razors are MIM(metal injection molding) or another word for sintered which are similar to the Feather and Shavecraft (iKon) line. Also the blade gaps have been reduced I guess for greater appeal and versatility. According to what I have read this type of production is greatly increased which means they can get the razors out much quicker and more refined as apposed to straight labor intensive machining.

I'm really trying to convince myself that I don't need one since the v1 works really well for me.
