RE: SOTD Saturday 6th November to Friday 12th November

Greetings

Monday 8th December 2014
Prep: Shower
Razor: Schick G8 Injector
Blade: Personna Stainless Coated
Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed
Soap: Vitos Extra Super(Red)
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)
EDT: FCUK

This was my third or fourth use of the Vitos Extra Super and I am very impressed indeed with this soap, it is really super slick and protective, I rate it right up there along with my other very few favourite soaps. Some folk will possibly not like it because of the strong Amaretto scent, I like the scent.

Regards
Dick.

Neutrogena glycerine bar
Lea Menthol Cream
Pure Bristle Brush - unknown
LH Progress
Lab Blue [ 2 ]
Alum rub/rinse
Lea Balm
Myrsol Antisol

Rest from SE shaving, good results with the Bea cream .
Fell foul of E Bay again. Brought Clemak & Darwin, then Washing Machine went down , may need the money I wasted.

RE: SOTD Saturday 6th November to Friday 12th November

Arko stick
Vulfix Bodger
Minora Long Comb, Polsilver Stainless
Aqua Velva
Arko Classic Yagli Krem

Hotel room shave this morning. Well lit actually. The Yagli Krem is very rich. Excellent moisturiser when the skin is feeling a bit dry on raw December mornings.

Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge (3)
Cold rinse
Thayers Lavender witch hazel
Aqua Velva Ice Blue aftershave

Night shift last night so got up at lunch time - usually I feel crap but decided to cheer myself up as follows:

Prep: Hot Shower
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
Blade: Astra #3
Brush: Vulfix 404 Bodger
Soap: Arko
ASB: Village Barber

The day is no longer a complete write off!

I'll still be a cheap night out though - few beers at tea time then early to bed!

Soap: D R Harris - Sandalwood
Razor: 1912 SE
Blade: GEM
Brush: Custom 400 Boar
Aftershave: Avon Balm
EDT: Dunhill 51.3 N

First time with the D R Harris, and I found it very disappointing. Scent smells like a generic scent that's used in most hand creams. The lather was OK and left my face a little dry but the biggest disappointment and shock was the amount of soap scum stuck to everything, even my hands were coated.

Managed to save what was a poor shave with some aftershave balm, something not used in months and so pleased that I did not throw it away when I had a clear out some time back.

All in all not too impressed.

Have a good evening Gents.

Prep: Hot wash with dove soap
Brush: Vie-Long horse/badger.
Soap: Super smooth bay rum.
Razor: 1966 slim adjustable. #4
Blade: Gillette silver blue #3
Post: Prof Blighty Hyperion post shave tonic.

Smooth 3 pass shave with no nicks, weepers or razor burn. Just nice smooth skin.

Jim

Pre: Village Barber oil
Soap: Ralph Lauren Safari
Brush: Rubberset-400 replica with 26mm TGN Finest 2-band
Razor: Gillette Super-Adjustable (O-2)
Blade: NOS Gillette "Spoiler" SS (4)
Post: Thayer's witch hazel, followed by Ralph Lauren Safari EdT
I forgot how enjoyable this setup is. The RL soap lathered without really trying and the blade/razor combo was silky smooth.
