WOW! The Spoiler has come to a dead-end, this is the first vintage blade has turned into a dud completely lost the blade edge after my third shave, I used to get 15 fantastic maximum shaves with the Gillette Spoiler with my Brass Karve using C & D base plate without any issue.

Tuesday 27th August

OSP Lemon, Peppermint and Menthol
Saponificio Varesino 2.0 Cocobolo
Blackland Blackbird
Personna Med Prep
OSP Lemon, Peppermint and Menthol Aftershave Tonic

A somewhat difficult few days with the funeral of a loved one and then - talk about timing - a dental abscess. But I feel almost human today and the shave has speeded that process on. Thank goodness for penicillin eh chaps? And as for four and a half days worth of tough stubble, the Blackbird didn't notice. Enjoy the rest of your day gents.

All best wishes, Barry.

Prep : warm water
Razor : Wilkinson Sword Classic plastic
Brush : MÜHLE boar
Blade : Derby Premium
Soap : Kox Barbershop Groene Thee (Green Tea)
Bowl : No bowl
Alum : De Vergulde Hand
After shave : Brut original

Tried again the Green Tea soap. Lather is still poor. Face lather works better then bowl lather. Although the lather seems to disappear from your face, I got a pretty good shave.
Would I buy it again? Probably not. My other shaving soaps are cheaper per 100 gram and give a better lather.

And for this last day before returning to work the theme for my shave was 'Cheat'

IMG_20190828_193524.jpg

Need a shave
Need it quick
Need it in a haste
The knowledge, the trick
Reach for the OneBlade
The God of speed
Reach for the OneBlade
Agreed
The quickest of creams
And creams don't come quicker
Penahilgon's Bouquet
Thicker and slicker
Plissoft knot
RazorRock brush
Absolute perfection
When push comes to rush
Three pass shave
In Three minutes past
With, Against and Across
Really, that fast
A classy shave
And a shave of class
Shaved to perfection
Baby's smooth ass
The only thing
I really could bleat
No skill, no thrill
The OneBlade cheat
From ear to ear
And ear to chin
One wonderful shave
And a big inward grin
All that is needed
At the end of this night
Is to wish you all well
Goodnight

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Rooney 1/3 Super Silvertip Badger
Soap: Sir Irisch Moos
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: NOS Wilkinson Sword 'French Brown' (1)
Post: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, Musgo Real Aftershave Balm
Scent: Floris No 89

The Wilkie French brown blade was every bit as sharp as its fellow French Gillette Nacet blade, but didn't give me any irritation.
Beautiful lather from the Irisch Moos, and I really enjoy its rich yet fresh scent.
Three passes, and I am BBS and grinning.
