Alum Block
Proraso pre shave green tea & Oat again
Nivea sensitive post shave balm

Surprisingly to me anyway the VC4 with the bar gave a more aggressive shave with a few weepers.
I found the handle a little short but quite grippy.
To conclude both razors gave me probably my closest shave ever.
damn you TSR I've got to try yet more razor blade combinations
Cheers Gaz

Two left sides of face?
I get what you did, though ... had fun?
May have pressed harder but there again a different angle on the other left facepjgh said:VC3 & VC4 tend to be smoother rides than their predecessors. I'm not really a fan of the VC2; not sure what it is, but I just don't like 'em. The VC1 is my favourite, but I like an aggressive shave - I like to feel the blade. That said, I still have ... erm, certainly a couple of VC3 and VC4 razors. I would also find the VC4 to be the smoother one - I wonder if you sub-consciously pressed harder or got a different angle?

As an update just done an update with the VC2; plenty of feedback noise wise but it didn't seem to be as close a shave also the head felt it was going to open at any time
if you know what i mean
It could also be that I am trying to walk before I can run
