For face lathering with a menthol product it's hard to beat this for quality or value:

Tuesday

Proraso pre/post
Neo custom 2 band finest
MWF
HD +Superthin (1)
Alum
Sandalwood skin food
Aloe vera in places

Thought I would change razor today, havent used the HD for ages. Definitely gives a more agressive shave than the EJ. Got some irritation on neck area.
Also, my lather didnt seem as good today. ( after what I said about MWF in another thread.. bloody typical).

Back to the EJ mastiff next time.

Tuesday

Merkur 23c
Feather
TOBS Sandalwood cream
Kent BK4
Alum block
Jasper Conran Man AS Balm
Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum

Tuesday Night:

  • - sinks full of lovely cold clean water...
    • Very nice after a long day at the office
      • (mine is right over the home's kitchen, with no A/C, and the breeze from the wrong direction to be drawn in by a desktop oscillating fan),
        • and the two bus rides of over an hour each way to and from work,
          • uphill both ways of course!
            • _Pdance__by_trezoid.gif
Oi! ... and the people! - don't get me started!![/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u][/list:u]
              - cleansed face and dunked it in cold fresh water a good while
              • ... with breathing breaks of course[/list:u]
                - Semogue 2000 with J M Fraser's Original shave cream
                - 1940's (NDC) Gillette English-Tech with a Handle-with-Big-Bones (not a gram of extra fat on the thing!), & an Elios Inoxable
                - MICAlum stick
                - Thayers' Lemon Witch Hazel
                - Fresh Lime Old Spice AS, with a bit of Aloe Vera gel as en-'balm'-ing agent
                • nyuk nyuk nyuk[/list:u][/list:u]

Wednesday
Razor: Feather Artist Club (disposable-blade folding razor)
Blade: Feather Artist Club Professional
Brush: Simpson Tulip 2 (2-band) Super
Soap: D R Harris Almond
Afterhsave: D R Harris Pink
Cologne: Penhaligon's The Hammam Bouquet

Wednesday morning
Pre: Hot Shower
Brush: Badger 21 mm
Razor: Le Grelot
Soap: Monsavon
Astringent: Alum
Post: Proraso
AS: Lacoste Challenge
Result: Ok

Lovely shave, until I nicked myself right under the honker - went in to steep with the blade  Then I nicked myself AGAIN  , I think it was due to the fact I never managed to get rid of the bad mojo from the first nick. Clean enough shave though and nice blade ... and very sharp
