You've adapted @Floid_Maniac's system, his requires a damp brush and ventilation holes

Yes, I like to hang my brushes upside down from an elastic band near an open window and leave to dry completely so his method would be difficult to do but whatever works for you is the best way! :)

Greetings All,

Saturday shave.

Two days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: Prorosa Red pre-share
Soap: Bluebeard Revenge Sample
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Silver Star (3rd)
Brush: Proraso Brush
Bowl: Caractacus Pots Mug

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, no Alum, followed by a shower then Proraso aftershave lotion (red) and Nivea 2 Phase.

Ok, third use with the Silver Star blade and as I have my new bowl, my first use of a Bluebeard Revenge cream sample I have been sitting on for month. Overall . . . what a fantastic shave, I do not know why, but everything just came together and 3 easy passes (WTG, XTG and ATG) and BBS. The blade did feel a little tuggy at the end, so I think beyond its best.

Looking forward to the rest of the weekend, British GP and Despicably Me 3

Enjoy yours :)

The tidy-up;

Quick tidy-up at the base of my neck and cheeks before heading off for a hair cut. I look sharp enough, and made a concerted effort not to get carried away with this singing canary of a razor. Avoiding the closer-cut areas of yesterdays shave gave me a nice, irritation free, drama free trim. Used the C&E West Indian Limes soap with my Maseto 30mm and matching ASB - not quite as used to this soap as my others so definite room for improvement there but it did the job well enough. Nice subtle smell and I continued the citrus theme with a drop or two of Sublime Vanille oil. I really do need to take this beauty out more often...

Onto the next one, chaps!
It is a beauty, very nice indeed :)

No shave for me today but a very nice old German song for you. ;):)

Lyrics:

Homeland your stars, they shine down on me even when I'm far away.
What they say, I interpret so gladly, as the love`s tender parole.
Beautiful evening hour, that sky is like a diamond.
Thousands of stars in a great round circle, sent with care from my true love.
From far away I dream of my homeland.

As I stood alone in the dark of the night, full of desire I thought of you.
My best wishes speed your way, they only want to be with you.
Wait for me in the distance … homeland.

Beautiful evening hour, that sky is like a diamond.
Thousands of stars in a great round circle, sent with care from my true love.
From far away I dream of my homeland.

Saturday's shave

Pre-shave - Warm water splash.
Razor - ATT SE1
Blade - Kai Captain Titan Mild Pink Razor Blades (day 1).
Soap - Executive Shaving Natural Shave Cream.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 - Best Badger.
Post shave - Myrsol Metilsol After Shave Lotion , followed by Ibiza Aloe Aloe Vera Cream.

A very poor shave today, totally my fault, I skimped on the pre-shave, and boy did it show.

Time was at a premium this morning, new blade loaded into the ATT SE1, hot water splash, lathered up and shaved.

While time was tight, I did not rush the shave, respecting the new blade, the lack of proper pre-shave, with at least a face-wash showed. A 2 pass shave with redness on the neck and one minor cut on the jaw line.

I should have known better and put some effort into the pre-shave.

All the best,

Chris

15/7/17

Pre - Cien Soap
Soap - @phoenixandbeau vegan soap
Brush - Omega 82065
Razor - YT Tech
Blade - Perma Sharp SS (2)
Post Shave - Witch Hazel

As I'm testing out Kerry's new soap I am keeping my set up as fixed as possible, and as odd it feels I have the same set up as I used yesterday.

I'm closer to getting the right balance of soap to water and even though my lather was a bit thin and on light side, it was so slick it was fine nonetheless. Aside from the slickness of the soap, I'm finding it's post shave really excels.
