Sandwiches....weird but oddly satisfying combinations.

Not a sandwich as such but does anyone else eat left over curry on toast, or is it just me?
Never had proper curry on toast or in a sandwich, but I've eaten many pot noodles (various flavours) in sandwiches and on toast. The trick for a good pot noodle sandwich is to use the smallest amount of water possible.
Cold chilli con carne in a barmcake's nice too. :hungrig

There's a little sandwich shop in Liverpool Street Station that serves cheapish sandwiches with lots of 'exotic' cheeses: blue cheeses, French and English variety (sorry I can't remember the names of them).

Yup, I'm hungry now...

Yikes!!!

Some of these are my personal favourites....

- Beetroot and cheddar is a staple one - I like to toast the bread a little first.
- Cold curry (order an extra dish for this very purpose)
- Peanut butter, roast chicken and chilli sauce
- Cold pasta bake/spag bol/lasagne in HOT toast with butter mmmmmm....
- 'Goblin' Steak and Kidney puddings are perfectly sized for fitting in an english muffin
- Sage and onion stuffing with brie

I'm sure I could think of more...

Findus or Birds Eye used to do an Indian Stir Fry that came in a big plastic bag. Throw it into the pan and serve hot, straight onto well buttered white bread... :hungrig

I think they stopped making it years ago. :(

They did, but Tesco also make one that's quite adequate for the same purpose! Add a little extra soy sauce for flavour though. ;)
