Prep: Hot water wash
Razor: EJ89
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow
Brush: Vie-long Horse hair
Soap: prof Blighty's Sandalwood
Post: Alum, M&S woodspice
Very strange shave today, I had a lot of tugging and had to use a little more pressure than usual, even so it seamed like only thing coming of was the lather. After checking my EJ was assembled properly I kept trying but after 4 passes i gave up. It still felt a little rough. After cold water rinse and alum which told me I had scraped near my lip, I rinsed off the alum and applied me woodspice AS. Apart from near my lip there was no stinging. After I had cleaned and dried everything I checked my face again and it was surprisingly smooth.
Very strange indeed, all I can think of is maybe its time to change the blade, this is my 3rd shave with the 7 O'Clock yellow.
