Result: A big day today - a tree planting in memory of my late father organised by the village in which he lived. So it was important to get the day of to a good start with a nice, relaxing, smooth shave. So out came the big guns and they delivered. It was splendid, even happy with the Astor which was a first timer for me.

Have a good weekend, gents.

Jon

Old spice shaving soap
Unknown plastic razor head with two levels of aggression
Gillette Silver Blue
Kent Infinity Silvertex
Home made lemon eucalyptus aftershave

Excellent although there's too much fragrance in my aftershave. Getting complaints from the neighbours! Watered and WitchHazelled it down a bit

Pre: Village Barber oil
Soap: Mike's Barbershop
Brush: El Druida redwood handle, 24mm synthetic
Razor 1: Gold Dollar #66
Razor 2: Ikon OSS
Blade: NOS Wilkinson Sword UK (5)
Post: Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, followed by Village Barber balm

Mike's soap whipped up a lovely creamy lather with an amazing classic scent.
The GD-66 still has a keen edge. I stropped it good to loan it to a coworker who's never used a straight before. WTG pass with the GD, XTG/ATG passes with the Ikon.
