Hot Towel Prep
Williams Mug Shave Soap
New Forest #2201 Superior Badger .. The Original
Max Sprecher 7/8 done in O1
Scrupleworks Vegetable Tanned Horse .. 30/50
Witch Hazel
PE RE JA Limon Kolonyasi AfterShave Splash

Yikes ... What a shave!

The Maxterpiece is uber sharp, and the old Williams soap I picked up (the box had a price of 15 cents) teamed up well with it. I also like the soap in the Pyrex sugar bowl from Wally World!

Lovely razor and unusual scales - what material are they?

Thursday

Evening, everybody.

Brush: Rubberset-400 replica with 26mm TGN Finest 2-band
Razor: Ikon OSS

Wow! First time trying ABC cream and WOW. If you like almond soaps like Cella or 3P then you are going to LOVE this.
I don't get any "sweet cherry" scent like with Cella. Just pure sweet almond scent and lovely slick lather.
2.5-pass BBS with a new Feather (scary sharp).

Semogue 830
Schick L1
Personna [3]
Blue Stratos AS
Gillette Moisturiser
Milton Lloyd Success (ISSEY MIKAKI)
3rd shave in a row with the L1. Still astounded by how effective it is and how easy it is! I have noticed a little more redness and irritation than DE though. So I'll need a day off tomorrow.

Hot Water Splash
Kent Shave Soap
Morris&Forndran Blonde Badger .. Lee7 in Colport Blue
W.H. Morley&Sons Clover Brand 5/8
Kanayama #3 .. 60/65
Bloc Osma
Witch Hazel
Tom Ford Tobacco Oud EdP

I've been revisiting my La Grosse Blanche coticule with great success. Great keenness with unbelievable smoothness... I'm very impressed! On another note, if some court, for some infraction, sentenced me to a life of Mitchell's Wool Fat (Kent), It would really be no hardship at all!
The Tom Ford Edp ... Wow, very nice!! I got a free sample and tried it today. Very, very nice. So nice, I looked it up to buy some ... Very pricey also, so I'll have to make this small vial last. But, for the well heeled, give this one a try ...

FRIDAY MORNING

Razor: Mongoose polished with UFO handle
Blade: Kai Captain Mild
Brush: Muhle V2 synthetic
Soap: Wickham spice soft soap - bowl lathered
Post: Lilac veg, Joop balm
EDT: Joop

I don't normally do morning shaves but I'm on lates this week so made more time for it this morning.

Very good shave with the above combo. Very close with low risk. I find I'm using the Mongoose more than anything else at the moment (bar an occasional straight shave). Perhaps I should start flogging off some of my DEs!

I don't normally like overly scentend balms, but thought I'd try layering a balm and EDT together. It's entirely possible I smell like a tart's handbag, but no-one has complained yet!

Bay Rum day.
vfv7yd.jpg

Prep: ht wash with dove soap.
Brush: Vie-Long Horse LEA special.
Soap: Whickham Super Smooth Bay Rum.
Razor: 1966 Gillette slim adjustable #4.
Blade: Crystal super stainless#1
Post: Benjamins Bay Rum.

This new LEA Vie long brush produced way more lather than I needed from the super smooth Bay Rum. A 3 pass plus touch up shave and a very nice BBS. Those crystal blades are so smooth but very sharp and I am beginning to like them a lot. Finished off my shave by applying a liberal amount of Benjamins bay rum that I decanted from the huge bottle into smaller atomizer for ease of use.
