S.O.T.D. Saturday 2nd August to Friday 8th August 2014

SATURDAY MORNING

Pre: Tepid rinse & Noxzema massaged into beard
Cream: Ingrams
Brush: TSN 2013 LE
Razor: StIk (Stahly head, Ikon Slant handle)
Blade: Sputnik
Post: Lucky Tiger, Village Barber balm
EDT: Pens Juniper Sling

Very nice shave from this setup. I can understand why a certain ex-colonial raves about this head so much (and, in doing so, introduced a 'petit minky' to me).

Very nice shave from this setup.

So the Frankenrazor is called a Stlk then? Really? That's the best you got? How bout 'Slanty' or even Ikely. Anyway, I'm glad that combo works for you.

Not to enable you in the least, but I know you would enjoy this confounded new fangled Roller head thing. You should maybe try this sometime soon.

The price of those roller razors must be soaring by now.

Today an almost Spanish shave!

Filomatic razor and blade + Gal for men vintage stick + New Forest 2204 + Myrsol Formula K

This Spanish razor is very mild, similar to a Tech but one you find the right position and pressure you get a nice close shave!

Cheers!

Birthday Shave!

Unusually for me I decided to use two different SE razors in the one shave, a Gem Micromatic, and a Valet. The more aggressive Gem to mow a few lazy days worth of stubble, and the Valet to put the finishing touches to the deal.

Lathered up Nanny's French Lavender hard soap - now the odd thing I find with this soap is that the puck has zero aroma, because I stored it for about a year after buying and only started shaving with it a couple of weeks ago. However, despite the storage, soon as the loaded brush hits the face to begin lathering, I'm surrounded by the most wonderful aroma!

Two passes with the Gem, final pass with the Valet, quick splash of Proraso aftershave and I'm good to go!

Enjoy your Sunday folks :icon_razz::icon_razz:
