AS I sit here with my freshly Aeropressed Coffee, I can reflect on how the shave went this morning.
Prep: Hot ash with pears soap.
Soap: Nanny's Signature Warm Spice.
Brush: The Grooming Company Synthetic Badger.
Razor: 1966 L2 Gillette slim Adjustable. #4
Blade: Gillette Platinum #2
Post: M&S Woodspice balm.
Coffee: Rave Coffee Signature Blend.

Nice 3 pass plus touch up shave, my recently acquired birth year/quarter razor works like a dream, slicing through 2 days of growth like it wasn't even there no nicks, cuts or irritation just smooth and great smelling skin. Finished with an Aeropressed long coffee with a hint of milk, nice and strong smells wonderful.... blisss.....

Have a good day folks.

Jim

Soap : Tabula Rasa Vetiver & Tangerine
Brush : Simpsons Classic 2 Best Badger
Razor : Digress LD
Blade : English Wilkinson Sword
Post : Pitralon + Village Barber Balm
Fragrance : Czech & Speake Vetiver Vert Cologne

First go with the Digress LD for 2 years, since its been away on a pass around. I had been using the HD regularly, think I prefer the LD in hand and much more head heavy in comparison to the HD, but prefer the look of the stainless steel HD and HD B (Brass). Having been all around the UK and Europe this Digress is more 'well travelled' than myself :)

Cracking Shave!

Mastro Livi CarboInox, 6/8 Full Hollow, Barber's Notch

The more I use Mastro Livi CarboInox razors, the more I love them. Stunning razors to see, excellent shavers to use. This fascinating combination of blue carbon damascus and bronzed stainless steel is absolutely incredible to see. This particular razor has another beautiful thing to look at: scales. They are made from a beautiful bi-colored cocobolo wood, recalling - like to say - the bi-colored look of the blade. A superb shave with the super hot flame of Pinaud Club Classic, with its lovely and "old fashioned" smell, delivered a truly satisfactory shave.

  • Pre-Shave: Myrsol Emulsión
  • Soap: De Vergulde Hand Stick
  • Brush: Frank Shaving Finest Badger Chubby Brush - 30mm knot
  • Bowl: Chinese Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi CarboInox, 6/8 Full Hollow, Barber's Notch
  • Post-Shave: Argan Oil
  • After Shave: Pinaud Clubman Classic

Rooney Style 1
Superspeed ( J3 birth year/quarter )
Polsilver
Catie's Bubbled Irish Coffee
Jack Black Gel
Pens Opus edt

First try of Catie's Bubbles, certainly not disappointed, I faced lathered and it produced a lovely thick lather which smelt delicious. A lovely smooth shave, the Superspeed is an excellent razor. I purchased mine a few years ago now for £13 inc postage from the USA, couldn't believe my luck at the time. Hadn't used any Jack Blacks for a while or the Opus. All in all a lovely smooth shave.

Haven't posted here in a long while - work has been keeping me fully busy for the last 3 months.

As its a '0' birthday year, I've been using my Gillette Slim 1965. I haven't used for ages, but enjoying it.

Brush: NF Tubby1
Soap: Crabtree & Evelyn Sandalwood
