S.O.T.D. Sat.14th Dec. 2013 to Frid. 20th Dec. 2013

I had a lovely shave this morning, I have been DE shaving for three weeks now and feel I have had a better shave each time. Today I did not have any cuts or irritation just a nice smooth face.

Holding the handle at the very bottom feels comfortable and I now feel the benefit of letting the razor do the work. I have been used to quite firm pressure with a Mach 3 in the past.

1. Shower
2. Face wash with warm water and un scented soap (Johnson's baby soap)
3. Lather with Bluebeards revenge cream and brush
4. Shave with Tech and Wilknson Sword High street blade fourth shave with this blade
5. Rinse with warm water then cold
6. Clinique post shave balm.

Cheers.

Greetings

A lovely comfortable shave. I've had a pack of the Rubie blades for almost a year and just got around to trying them. The blades are very smooth and sharp, one of the most expensive of the Russian made blades. I can't see me buying more just now as I already have a lifetime stock of blades.

Thursday afternoon

(Day late posting)

Prep: Hot shower
Razor: AT&T R1 on UFO handle
Blade: Lab Blue (1)
Brush: Rudy Vey custom 2 Band
Soap: DR Harris Windsor Shave Stick
A/S DR Harris Windsor
Balm: DR Harris Windsor Milk
EDT: DR Harris Windsor

Superb shave from a superb razor. Felt really smooth initially, then I realised putting the blade in may help.

I like this razor head a lot, quite a lot of blade exposure, but not R41 style. The M1 may be a bit too mild, we will see. The R plate is definitely more aggressive than Merkur in my opinion.

Looking forward to tonight's shave already....

Hot flannel
Proraso pre, menthol
Muhle Silvertip, Nanny's soft soap, Tea Tree and Aloe Vera

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday's rogue blade felt like it was ripping the hairs out of my lower neck. Very nice shave today, back to normal, I hope.

Friday afternoon

Prep: Hot shower
Razor: ATT M1 first two passes then swapped to R1 for ATG
Blade: Lab Blue (2)
Brush: Rudy Vey custom 2 Band
Soap: AdP
A/S 4711
EDT: AdP

The M1 was just not close enough, nice and comfortable, but not close enough for me for a night before work shave.

Swapped it for the R1 and went cold water for the ATG pass. Close and comfortable.

I think I may have to splash out on one of these razor heads......

Oh well, RAD nealy over!

My first time with cella and the Gillette silver blue blades. Near BBS but with a couple of small weepers which is the first time for a while. The cella smells lovely in the pot but once lathered I couldn't really smell it at all, which is a shame.
