Blades

Wow, hadn't thought about how DE blades were made. A surprising number of production stages (newbie opinion) involved in the making of these.

Thanks for posting the you tube link :) it certainly opened my eyes and I learnt a thing or two.

I like the term traditional, but I'll be showing this video to a few around me that term DE shaving old fashioned. DE blade production looks pretty hi-tech to me and I don't see anything old fashioned about DE shaving. Skilful? Yes. Try fashioning a DE blade from primitive tools

This video coupled with a few pics of a Feather AS, a PILS and a Merkur Futur would make an excellent promo tool that might encourage cartridge users to give DE shaving a try :)

Cheers,
Jason

Too busy looking at the cast zinc and thinking "that'll not last like brass".

Exactly, I would like to use it on the driving range but on the pitch and putt no problems.

Actually those nylon (I assume) washers and bush and that tensioner spring should be just fine it's not like your adjusting the razor at 3000 rpm.
