I have it on a glass shelf next to my Muhle R89 which is highly finished chrome, so it looks a bit dull and muted next to the silver machine, but i like it a bit rustic looking!

Just remember, the Muhle is Zamak, the Piccolo is brass, shiny doesn't mean better.

What blade anybody? i have used polsilver which was really smooth and close loved it,

got some voshkods sputniks,astras gillet blues!

Added this to my Wants List for future when I'm ready for an OC. I think I'll go Grande and love the dark look

The Piccolo handle is heavier, it's solid brass, The Grande handle is hollow and lighter. Also from what I've seen, the dark finish isn't very durable, it wears off.

I understand that the Piccolo handle is heavier than the Grande but by how much? is it even a meaningful difference ? The Grande feels fairly substantial weight wise, defo more than EJ89.

I didn't get on with the piccolo after my first shave with it, not the razors fault down to me being heavy handed with it . I've now become to really like this razor no problem with blade alignment .The finish is good apart from a little sharp bit on the handle that jags my finger now and again but I think it's just reminding me what it will do to my face if I don't treat it right.

Great you stuck with it, that handle can snag the skin; adds to the charachter for me trust the shaves get even better.
