The fantastic Dirty Bird Pottery Shaving Scuttles are now available at Timothy Edwards - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.timothyedwards.co.uk/Brand/Dirty-Bird-Pottery/c-1-70-114/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.timothyedwards.co.uk/Brand/D ... -1-70-114/</a><!-- m -->

You will no doubt have seen the reviews these get on the shaving forums. Shaving with deliciously warm lather is the perfect antidote to these cold mornings!

hmm...now $73.50 USD before shipping
I know this is a want as apposed to a need.... :?
Me n my wife would love one again to share..due to our wood bowl is untreated and sucks lather like crazy..so my wife uses a coffee cup in the meantime til we can find something more affordable...we used to have a scuttle..I needed to sell it as well as my rare mint condition str8 razors cause we needed the funds :|

Nice :D I've been meaning to look at scuttles, love warm lather! :D

But I don't see why shipping to the EU is more expensive than Ireland, I know royal mail prices, and they are the same if you're shipping to Ireland, Latvia or Estonia. (or even France)
I could understand a price difference between EU and non-EU (since handling for non-EU would include filling out a customs form).

If they're shipping using a "not Royal Mail" it can make a significant difference - every time the DHL/FedEx/UPS of the world cross water they hike up the price.... and that "crossing water" includes the Caledonian Canal...

Dunno then :?

Wait a minute... try looking at ParcelForce (the Royal Mail's parcels arm... )

2kg to Ireland £17.xx
2kg to Sweden £33.xx

Perhaps they're conflating ParcelForce & Royal Mail?

WTF, almost double :evil:

You call me when a scuttle weighs 2kg!..
I've sent many packages that weigh just under 2kg.. (AV group buys etc..)

Anyways, I'm not trying to derail this post, so I'll just wait for the vendor to reply on this topic.
