Same here. In fact, quite a few lavender products have left my face a bit dry.

I like the scent, if it's not too intense.

Which one? The original (scented), unscented or the fougere?

I have a suspicion that my skin is not a fan of MdC either (original scented). The lather is always fabulous but for some reason I end up with slightly more irritated skin than normal. It's not so noticeable that it would stop me from using it but it does take the edge off the enjoyment I get from the scent and feel during the shave

I have used Anthony Logistics, Clinique, Nancy Boy Cooling. Nancy Boy replenishing, Zirh, Pens BB and Weleda as post shave balms after using MdC (yes, I keep a record!)

Like I say, the irritation isn't huge and a balm does it's job of keeping things calm but there is definitely something there which makes my alum sing a bit louder than usual straight after I have shaved

TOBS Lavender was the first shaving cream that I bought when I started DE shaving. I find it to have a fairly strong scent and it produces a very good lather.
