Two Pass Shaving Routine..

Hot Water Prep & Massage with Argan Oil
Schick Type G 3
Feather Pro Blade (New)
Leon Hardy Pure Badger
Haslinger Tallow Soap
Humphreys Witch Hazel

I Decided to Use My Schick G Type Today to Compare it to the Cobra Classic with a Cut Down Feather Blade with the Same Soap & the Same 2 Days of Whiskers to Cut Down..The Schick Type G is Widely Regarded as a Middle of the Road Injector in Terms of Aggressiveness..I would Concur with that..o_O

I just Done this because the Cobra is Fresh in My Mind & I will be having Further Use with it..I Just had to Do this for Me Sorta Thing..Just as a Reminder..The Feather Pro Blade Does Work Well in the Schick G Type..No Bones about that..The G Type is Far Smoother & Far More Forgiving with a Pro Blade than the Cobra with a 1st Shave with a New Pro Blade.

The Schick G Type is a Bit More Aggressive than the Cobra Classic Though..The Proof was in the Pudding So to Speak..On My 1st WTG Pass it Blew More Whiskers Away than the Cobra with a New Pro Blade..Night & Day in Fact..I had that Much of a Whisker Reduction I decided to Go for BBS Dolphin Smooth Shave with a 2nd ATG Pass..:)

The Cobra Needed that 3rd Pass for Sure..No Bones about that..Its a Milder Shaver & Less Efficient that the Schick Type G that was Introduced in 1947..I have Far More Aggressive Injectors than the Schick Type G by the Way..

I have Already Said that I Like the Cobra Classic & I Do..I Just had to Carry Out this Wee Experiment to Remind Myself that these Great Men of Old Dedicated their Lives Perfecting SE Razors with Surgical Tolerances & Precision..The Blade is More Rigid an Precise in the Schick Type G because of a Lifetime of Endeavour's of these Great Men..

The Comb & Stops in the Cobra Classic are No Where Near as Precise or Exacting..I have No Intention of Taking anything Away From the Cobra as its a Lovely SE & I am Going to Say it Again..;)

I like it..:D

Three Pass Shaving Routine..

Hot Water Prep & Massage with Argan Oil
Cobra Classic
Feather Pro Blade (3rd Shave)
Hans Baier Silver Tip
Haslinger Tallow Soap
Humphreys Witch Hazel

I had My 3rd Shave with the Cobra Classic Tonight that Martin Kindly Sent on this TSR Pass Around..I Went for the Money Button BBS Dolphin Smooth Shave..I am sitting here again with an All Over Dolphin Smooth BBS Result..I don't mean form North to South & form East to West neither..I mean in every Darn Direction..;)

This is My Last Shave with the Cobra before I Pass it On So here are Some Final Thoughts..The Cobra is by No Means a Blood Letting Monster..After having a few Shaves its More Like Middle of the Road in Terms of Aggressiveness..Around about a Schick Type G Injector with the Same Pro Blade..Its a Very Forgiving Shaver..Very Smooth..That said..Folks that Cant Handle or Not Used to a Crazy Sharp Pro Blade like this Might Confuse the Cobra as being an Aggressive Shaver because these Blades are Not for Everybody..They are a Lot of Blade for Sure..

A Lot of Folks that have Purchased the Cobra are Folks that will haven't Any Experience of Aggressive SEs or Injector Razors & Will be coming from a DE Background..There isn't a DE Out there that is as Aggressive as Some SEs or Some Injectors for that Matter..The Cobra is Well Balanced & Just so Beautifully Made..I Really Like this Razor a Lot..:p

I Haven't any Criticism of the Cobra except that its One Hell of a Price..Then Again So is a Head Nipping Wife that's Just Gonna Grow Old & Wrinkled..I wouldn't get No More than 4 Great Shaves out of a Feather Pro Blade the same as in any Razor..They Dull Very Fast & I Enjoy a Crazy Sharp Blade..

The Only Advice I can offer to Folks is this..If You Reckon a Crazy Sharp Blade is Not for You then the Cobra Might not be the Razor for You..I say this because using other Blades in this Razor is Just going to Take Away what the Cobra Actually is..You are as Well as Buying a Gillette Tech..I have used an Array of these Types of Blades & all they Will Do to the Cobra is turn it into Very Mild Razor..Of Course that's Fine & Dandy but I Just Don't see the Point of Buying a Porsche & then Detuning it..Thats Me Talkin Mind..o_O

Thank You Martin for the Opportunity to Have a Go with You're Cobra..Its Been a Privilege that I have Enjoyed..Don't Take this to Heart buts its 10 Times the Razor of You're OneBlade..;)

I Love You're Cobra..:D

Hi,

First impressions after opening the box were "ooooooohhhhhh me likey!!!", Second impressions were that it looked a lot smaller than I was expecting. Not sure why I thought it would be bigger as it is nearly the same size as my trusty mongoose, but it just looks soooo much smaller, I guess due to the smaller head dimensions.

I chucked in a part used blade that I already had on the go, and given the special occasions I cracked open one of my favourites.... Wickhams SS Imperial tonic!

I was very surprised by how 'vocal' it is in use, giving way more audial feedback than the 'goose. I could sense that this was a wee bit more dangerous than what I am used to, so I kept it calm and smooth, and I don't think I came close to any drama. 3 passes and a very easy BBS with no issues. Lovely.

First impressions are that I think I am going to love this razor.... Oh dear.

Oh..... Who put the post-shave lotion in? It's nice!!! :)

Second shave and I am still enjoying it! I am a little surprised by the degree of play in the blade, but I don't seem to notice it in action.

I maybe got a little over confident and got a couple of weepers, but otherwise a lovely BBS very easily.

I like this razor!!! :)

Also, I found something today that I think may be the pre-curser to the cobra..... Maybe a proto-type? Could be worth a fortune! Pictured here next to the pass around cobra..... What do you think???

Oh.... And finally.... I LOVE the post shave balm so much I looked online to see how much it costs, but I can't find it on their website....... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
