SOTD 9th OCt.JPG Monday 9th OCtober 2017

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Pure Power Charcoal Face Wash and Proraso white
Razor: Gillette NEW LC
Blade: NOS Gillette Blue Extra 1963 (#5)
Brush: Maseto 24mm finest
Soap: D.R. Harris Windsor
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys Witch Hazel
AS: Nivea Soothing Balm.

A bit of a rough start to my shave today, the first two passes were tugging and I managed one weeper. The last pass ATG was okay and it was quite a close shave in the end. I guess five shaves from the Gillette Blue was maybe a bit too far.

Greetings All,

Tuesday shave.

One days' growth and warm shave

Preparation – face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: None
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood shaving cream
Razor: Rockwell 6C (3P)
Blade: Wilkinson Sword (2nd)
Brush: Razorock 400 Noir (face lather)

Post Shave: Cold water rinse, then Proraso aftershave Red and Nivea Sensitive Cooling Balm.

Lovely shave this morning, for some reason, it took me a while to get the right consistency with the lather, but when I got there is was rich, slick and cushioning. 2.5 passes (WTG, ATG (half hearted) and ATG) leaving me smooth and ready for another day in the office.

Cheers,

Brian

Greetings,

The Muhle 89R is such a wonderful performer,i have a fondness for all of my DE razors, but this smooth non-aggressive efficient lady is a firm favourite of mine.

She doesn't seem to be fussy with what ever blade i've paired her up with, the shave has always been successful, however i count myself lucky that my skin type is matched to the DE Razors & blades that i shave with.

A effortless 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.

Prep ~ Shower, Birch tar soap
Razor ~ Ever-Ready 1914 Brass
Blade ~ Ever-Ready Corrux NOS
Soap ~ Stirling Spice
Brush ~ BSSW ~ Gonzo
Scuttle ~ Giles Shaving Co
Post ~ BBA Post Shave Balm
Scent ~ Stirling Spice Aftershave Splash

A fabulous shave with my stripped back to brass 1914 courtesy of @Benz3ne , thanks mate. The Stirling soap is a dead ringer for Old Spice once lathered and the splash is not too far off. The 1914 paired with a freshly stropped Corrux blade left me as smooth as I require with zero irritation. Happy days!

And I hope you have a happy day too......:)

Tuesday's shave of the day :)

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap face wash, followed by BBA Pre-Shave Oil.
Razor - Blackland Sabre-SE
Blade - GEM (Persona) PTFE Mild (Day 1).
Soap - D.R Harris Eucalyptus Shaving Cream.

A lovely 3 pass shave this morning, good BBS result and skin feels soft and smooth. It feels like it has been ages since I have shaved with the Sabre-SE.

Have a good day all.
