Yet another newbie...

Thought I'd give DE a try after years of Gillette cartridges leaving my face shredded, and my wallet empty. Starting off slowly with a Feather Popular, Derbys, Palmolive cream, and borrowed badger brush - though if this works out I'll no doubt upgrade to some more exotic hardware.

Feeling fairly sore after first shave: went for the recommended short strokes/wtg approach, and after two passes was still left with a good amount of stubble. Resisted the temptation to up the pressure, will probably give it another shot tomorrow - appreciate I have a learning curve to climb.

Hi Pedro, welcome to TSR! Take it slow and don't change your set-up for a few days so you get used to it. No doubt you've already read a lot of advice here, but whatever you wish to know don't be afraid to ask!!

Check the angle you holding the razor.

Stick with it, it's well worth a short steep learning curve.
