A crystal receiver doesn't require any power - it only requires power for the amplifier, if you're putting the output into a very high impedance output device, you don't need an amplifier.

It'll be AM only and crap for distant low-signal stations.

It needs to be used as part of a 'set'

If my memory serves me well you'll need high impedance headphones, aerial, ground spike and variable capacitor for tuning it.

Rev-O could use one for tuning into the "Light Programme" whilst camping
