Why do these Gillette razors command such a premium...............are they really that good?

That one sold for way over its value.

A couple of years ago it would've gone for £30.

Madness.

Never used one, never wanted to.

It's what auctions are all about. You just need two or three bidders who have not done enough research with spare money to drive prices up. It's nothing about value but the determination and sometimes, stupidity of two people.

Ive never understood the premium on Fatboys.. they still sell on Ebay for a bare minimum of £30+ ..
I got mine for a fiver and barely use it.

Its ok as a shaver , but pretty over hyped in my book.

There is a gold plated one on the same site at the moment, will this fetch £1000++.........

If there's a gold Fatboy (an Executive) that goes for £1k, I'll be selling mine  (I paid £2 for it, beat the seller down from £4)

I'll give you a fiver for it..........thats £3.00 profit..... :p :p

I bought two razors from that very seller (Sailorman) on B&B - my birth year & quarter black-handled Superspeed, and a birth year Slim Adjustable!

Both were in fantastic nick and I got both for a total of just over £30.

I concur. Ignorance is bliss and stupidity goes long with it for most ebay bidders.

I found this place http://www.safetyrazors.co.uk/shop/pc/v ... Category=7 at the time they had a re-plated fatboy for £30.00, sometimes they have some good bargains on there and they are all serviced and sanitised...................and no bidding wars.........
