Which brush for what?

"Prickly" brushes are usually at the lower end of the food chain, often using trimmed and less sorted variations of Pure hair.

John, we all know you sold your collection of brushes because of your impending tax bill so don't mislead the fella into believing you did it out of choice and anyway you'd have your old Rooney Heritage Stubby 2 back in an instant. ;)

He will have long wait to get that back of me  . my precious

If you are looking for a stiff brush the Duke 2 in best might suit. not scratchy like a pure but nice and stiff. like a badger on viagra

Great offer by B&H on B&B for a Duke 2 in Best, I'm seriously tempted.

Another thing....

There is also a tendency for face latherers to use soap, and bowl latherers to use cream. I don't know why this is. I guess if it's repeated enough on the forums it becomes Gospel.

You can face lather with creams and bowl lather soaps equally well.

John,

No kidding! I was thinking

Cream in a bowl? To each his own

John,

Been meaning to ask you besides the Savile what do you have in rotation? IIRC you got rid of all the boars along with the Semogue LE?
Thanks

I'm playing with another 1305 and 10005. I will keep the one I like best, and sell the other. I still much prefer badger to boar but I like having a change every now and then....

I plan on purchasing one of Fido's brushes too. I've borrowed his prototype fan shape, and the hair is not as stiff as the Simpsons two band I had, so I'm thinking that his bulb shape brush will work for me. I didn't like the Simpsons two band hair in bulb - found it uncomfortable and pointy.

I also like the look of that Thater brush that Fido reviewed. Oh no, it's starting again........

John,

You haven't picked one up? You're missing out my friend. It's what made me take interest in badgers again ( apart from my using Omega 599 Silver and Vulfix 2273 Super that is ).

Thater does look nice. I'd go with the 49125. It's reminiscent of my Omega 31064 handle.
