Where to find a container for some shaving soap?

Does anyone know where to find little tubs with twist tops i can put my pucks and milled soap in?
I checked Wilkinsons but could only find them with a press down lid and not a screw or twist top,looking for a 4oz or so sized plastic container,any help would be great :D

99p shop has 4 small shiny steel bowls wrapped in plastic. No lids but I thought they might be a good size for soap - then I remembered I have empty ones already at home ...

They also had some crystal deodorant as well - potassium alum, not ammonium alum like most of them are these days. 120g for 99p (go figure).

Guys, is it perfectly fine to keep soaps in mugs/tins/tubs with no lid for say, 6 months?

I have a drawer in my room inside of which there is a coffee mug with a slice (pif) of cella in it - just sat there for the last few weeks. I use it once a week or so. It's fine but was wondering about the longer term ...

I think if soap is left without a lid on for a considerable ammount of time that it can lose some of its scent,for instance if you see people selling Old Spice shaving soap they will mention sometimes that it still has its scent,so that could be an issue.
You can get a nice sized tub in Wilkinsons for about 30p,plastic with a push down lid,i was just hoping for a twist/screw top but if i cant find anything i will get a few more of those Wilkinson tubs

I prefer a lid on my soap as I like the hit of scent that comes out when I open it up. I doubt a hard soap will suffer in terms of performance if left open to the air, just the scent may lessen somewhat. Softer soaps and of course creams will dry out over time. I assume Monsavon must come under this category as I stored my last bit in a glass ramekin and it slowly shrivelled up! :shock:

eBay seem to have some possibilities...

The 150ml jars look like they might fit the bill.

I use these mugs with handles. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.amazon.com/Corningware-French-White-Piece-Include/dp/B003ACFA28/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1273705897&sr=8-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.amazon.com/Corningware-Frenc ... 897&sr=8-1</a><!-- m -->

I think pyrex make something similar.

I've purchased some better quality food storage containers from an Asian supermarket, nice size glass bowl with Tupperware type lid for around 60p or so.

No lids but a good excuse to buy a nice pudding :hungrig

Ah, is that where they come from? I've got a few with soap in, but mine came from a charity shop in Brodick.
