What model is your HD?
What model is your HD?
Paul
I've always liked HD motorcycles , especially the vintage ones but I would still ride a modern Harley!XG750 Street
Now discontinued
One of the few liquid cooled HDs. It's a bit reviver than, say, a Sportster. A bit like a smaller (if 750 is small) V-Rod.
Had it from new, and to be honest it just does everything I need it to so well I can't justify changing it. And, belt drive is so nice instead of looking after chains.
I have a tattoo done from a photo of it..

Unfortunately I don't have any bikes now, my last one was a 1978 Kawasaki Z650, a lovely vintage Jap bikeWhen I got this one it wasn't what I expected to get. I spent the day at a local HD dealer with my brother and they just let us take out whatever bikes we wanted so we could compare them. It was a horrible, wet and cold day. Which was good. It showee what the bikes were like in the real world, rather than an idealic sunny afternoon ride.
I thought I would get a 1200 Sportster (my Mrs later got an 883) and I prefer the look of the Sportster. But this is quicker, stops better, handles better and is better 2 up. I take my son out on the back and we've tested other bikes, but he doesn't find many as comfy.
I think it was dropped as HD riders are a traditional bunch who just didn't take to a liquid cooled bike. It's more like a European bike to rife.
It sounds awesome as the pipe is totally open
Do you have a bike, or bikes?

I also the Z200 single cylinder which was loads of fun.I always loved the Z650
My first ever bike was a Z250, very like the one below. I lusted after the 650s and 900s, 1000s and (especially) the 1300s....

Stunning view!Sunny day, which comes around full-force by about lunchtime but I managed to get several coats onto our new summer house. Yes, the front still looks patchy - I got "blazed off" (rather than rained off). Sides and back are now enjoying four coats and the front is three around the complex bits with the main parts to get two or three more tomorrow. Soffits (urgh) still need a few more coats.
But what a glorious day! That made me very happy ... more so, the spray of blossom on the hawthorn trees, which is a fleeting treat ever year.
Marvellous!
Stunning view!
