What are you listening to?

Bogeyman, what was that instrument that Colonel Sanders was playing? The sound is familiar but I've never seen one before.

I do like a bit of mediæval music, and for some years have been vaguely following the Mediæval Bæbes, who have studied and then brought back to life various old songs, not only having to recreate the music on the correct instruments (which must be nigh on impossible to source) but also to try to correctly pronounce old or middle English (which if you go back far enough is half German on account of the Angles and Sachsens), or sometimes Latin, French or other languages I don't even recognise. I went to see then play a very small basement in Dalston East London one time, which was amazing and yes they are indeed "bæbes".
