The Unintended Collaboration #1
This idea came from Ben Ramone Thompson (I cannot claim it as my own), of the UK Supermarket Craft Beer Forum group on Facebook. Musing through a thread on said group, he mentioned that he'd mixed the two beers roughly 50/50 and enjoyed it. Now I love these two beers, and curiosity bit and bit hard. I would not be able to sleep until I'd sampled this Frankenstein mix (hence the video thumbnail), so whilst shopping in Tesco today, I acquired one of each with which to make this bastard child of two breweries who had never intended these two to meet.
I didn't really know what to expect from this arranged marriage, but I had a couple of prior observations. The first being that I loved the hoppy nature of Mr President, and I loved the grapefruit bitter sweet flavour of Love and Hate. What came of the marriage was not expected...find out more with the video. It works out roughly 8.2% when you mix half and half, and has spawned a new section to my YouTube channel - The Unintended Collaboration. I give you, ladies and gentlemen, The Comb Over / Donald (I can't decide which, the reason for the name choices is in ze video).
