What are you drinking tonight.

I'm about to nip out for a pint of Robinson's Trooper. It's brewed literally up the road from my house but I hadn't sampled its majesty until a trip to the Lake Districttwo weeks ago.

When looked after properly it really is a beautiful ale.
 
Took Mrs Vinny out for something to eat tonight;

She had Pork Belly with a pear tart and greens, I had milk-poached Hake, Colcanon potatoes, poached egg and holondaise sauce (plus starters and desserts).

I tried a Hendrick's Gin & Tonic.

Not bad, but I prefer Bombay Saphire.
 
Nor a Philistine! I like the Bombay with plenty of lime probably my two favourites though I'm partial to Blackwoods if I can get it.

Culture clash for me tonight Growlers, Cofresh CHilli Table Sauce topped off by Athenee Black Label Ouzo with a dash of water. A glorious mix of flavours but I'm feeling a little foxed already,
 
Grabbed a bottle of Plymouth Gin and some bitter lemon off the shelves at Sainsburys. Realised I didn't have an ice cube tray. Put them back until I get one.

Meanwhile, bottles of Thatchers Gold and Greene King IPA hit the spot.
