waxy leather shoes

Cherry Blossom Waxed Leather Oil - I checked this morning. It's effective at waterproofing and light enough to use on a pair of Timberland Oxfords and numerous pairs (2 and 6) of my daughters Clarks shoes and boots. Yet it's robust enough to do my walking boots and Para's, thoroughly recommended. Always used either NikWax or Dubbin before this.

I ended up getting a jar of "Cobbler's Cream" from Timpson because it was there. Despite the vaguely smutty name it seems to be working ok.

Who would have thought dubbin would be a difficult to locate item in shoe shops....

Update: I had searched local shops unsuccessfully for the waxy oil suggested by the Count, and instead purchased the cobblers cream. Just to see what they said I emailed Loake, as it was a pair of their boots I had bought. The very nice lady at Loake is now sending me a tin of oily wax for gratis!

The boots are Loake Blenheims and they are great. Now Loake have done something nice to help me.

So I say "Buy some Loake shoes!"
