Wanted: small piece of leather

Looking to make a new strop for the worse for wear Rolls that I have.

I'd like a piece of leather for that, 6"x2" (15x5cm) would be plenty big enough, about 1/16" to 1/8" (2-3mm) thick. Probably a bit big to be asking for an offcut.

If I were to be picky I'd say red, but it really doesn't matter that much to me!

It can work, but a lot of leather belts has chemicals in them and that´s not good. I forgot my strops once, when we went to the country side and I bought an vintage belt, it worked ok. Better to go to a leather shop though and ask for a nice cardovan piece or any clean piece of leather in the right size. Or better yet, ask Neil, he has some really good leather and he has picked it for stropping reasons...

The strops I use at work - not for razors mark you - are offcuts of bridle leather blagged from a local saddler, about 6mm thick. Might be a possibility.
