Wanted: Shaving brush information

Hi everybody.

Have you ever seen a similar horn finished shaving brush? Some information about it will be welcome.

The bristles are yellows (maybe because is a very old brush), someone knows how to withen it without damage to the brush?

Nice brush. I cannot add anything. But as long as it's clean I'd just leave it as it is.

Other than French origin because of the text I don't know either, are you sure it's horn? Is that blue discolouration the actual colour or reflection from the back drop?

What do you like about the brush, the handle or the knot? We have a few brush restorer's here but I agree with Fido, if it performs okay I'd leave it alone and use it.

Looks like a classic to me and would give it a nice shampooing and use it.

Brush _looks_ fine to me (from a picture that is); not a restoration candidate at all.

Very nice brush! Other than French brush can't say anything. I can't make out the text. Mind giving the specs? Looks to be 20-22 knot.
