I would be inclined to think that a modern injector blade would work in it somehow, perhaps with a little shim behind. Still, a little pricey for that gamble ... I'd want to use it.
I see what you mean, it's a lot of money for what amounts to a 'voyage into the unknown' for what might be just a paperweight!
I see the seller appears to be a semi pro. restorer and dealer in razors so he has obviously been unable to I.D. it, it seems only logical he would try to do so.
I'm still trying to work out how the blade fits onto that bar on the stropper.
Looks as though it would have to flip over Dick. I'm assuming the rubber wheels are moved backwards and forwards and the gearing mechanism works the same as other stroppers.
