Valet Traditional Barbers Croydon

I've seen this one before, and it looks good. But so did The Waldorf in Dublin on the YouTube videos, ouch.

Don't puncture my dreams Cubert, I've seen the videos for the Waldorf and have always thought I must go there. Bad experience?

The shaving angle with the DE (futur) looked such that I didn't think the blade was even touching the skin. It obviously was.

I started using my tub of bluebeards in July, Using it's almost daily and certainly daily for 2 month at the end of last year, I've still got it. I often have more lather than I need. 6 months supply, easy!

The experience was brilliant. The barber was a nice chap, the shop is amazing, the pre-shave, the hot towels, the warm lather, the scented cold towels, the post shave, the talcum powdering, the hair line tidy, the quick hair style with pomade, all fantastic.

The shave itself wasn't. Four cuts, on closer inspection some rough patches and 24 hours worth of razor burn.

All in all, glad I did it, but wouldn't do it again.

Who did the shave?

Nope. That's the owner who is usually in along with his daughter. The day I went the shop was staffed by a blonde lady and a younger chap.

That's not Liam; according to the chap whose video it is (he trained there and is the guy getting the shave), it's a bloke called "Ger"

The older chap with the glasses is Liam, he owns it with his daughter Linda.

As far as I'm aware this is Liam
